Description
In this 19th episode of “Mission Works: Thanks to Donors,” Concordia Seminary President Emeritus Dr. Dale A. Meyer, the program’s host, talks with Dr. Leopoldo A. Sánchez M., who is the interim Multiethnic Symposium chairman, the Werner R.H. Krause and Elizabeth Ringger Krause Professor of Hispanic Ministries and director of the Center for Hispanic Studies at Concordia Seminary. Sanchez highlights the May 4-5 Multiethnic Symposium, which is being held online with the theme “The Rest and the West: What the West Can Learn from Global South Christianity.” “What can they teach us about theology, worship, missions?” Sanchez asks. “If Christianity is growing in the [Global] South, and that includes Lutheranism, then maybe we have something to learn from them. The largest Lutheran churches are in now in Africa, Madagascar and Ethiopia. … The largest Lutheran university is in Brazil.” Meyer also shares information about symposium sponsorship opportunities. Mission Works is a weekly vlog that celebrates the significant role of Seminary supporters and highlights how donor gifts are making a difference in the Lord’s mission. Learn more at Support.
