Description
In this 28th episode of “Mission Works: Thanks to Donors,” Concordia Seminary President Emeritus Dr. Dale A. Meyer, the program’s host, breaks down the funding pie of the Seminary with Chief Financial Officer Chad Cattoor. The two men discuss how the institution is adjusting its funding model to be on firm footing for the future. “Gift income is going down as a result of an aging donor base,” Cattoor says. “We have worked very hard at building the Seminary’s endowment. … Our goal is to continue to increase that.” Meyer adds, “This is significant because, if the donor base of the LCMS continues to be called to heaven, the gift income amount of the pie is going to continue to shrink and yet the mission has to go forward. Endowments are critical to filling what looks like is going to be an income gap.” Learn more at Support.
