Description
David and the other psalmists often wrote of being saved from enemies or rescued from the corruption of Sheol. However, the authors and composers of the Psalms may not have known the fullness of what their words meant at the time of their composition. In the era of the New Testament, though, it has become clear that the book of Psalms are full of prophetic words that looked forward to an ultimate deliverance – to the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. This presentation will explore the psalter for images and prophesies of the resurrection of the body and eternal life, first regarding the resurrection of Jesus himself, followed by the resulting promise of resurrection for those found in Him.
