Abstract
Did Mark end his Gospel at verse 20 of chapter 16, at verse 8, or with an ending which included in some detail the appearances of the risen Christ and the Ascension, or with a short rounded-off phrase after verse 8? The advanced knowledge of new New Testament materials at this point do not make the outcome of our research necessarily more assured. Nevertheless we are finding more alternatives from which to choose. It is, however, the intention of this study to show that there is a good chance with all the materials involved to arrive at a fairly assured conclusion.
