Abstract

This present study is concerned only with one particular relationship: that between a name and the word-play associated with it. Thus it is the structure of individual passages which is examined while the relationship of these passages to their literary units or oral background plays a secondary role. This then is not form analysis in the strict sense, though it is closer to this method than to any other.
