Abstract

It is the purpose of this paper to find out by what process or development the Missouri Synod began to do its work among people of other tongues. When one pages through the old issues of the Lutheraner or Synodal Berichte, he certainly is not swept away by the wave of enthusiasm that the members of Synod expressed in favor of doing mission work.
