Description
In this 24th episode of “Mission Works: Thanks to Donors,” Concordia Seminary President Emeritus Dr. Dale A. Meyer, the program’s host, tackles the topic of seminaries with Dr. Daniel Aleshire, former executive director of the Association of Theological Schools, one of the Seminary’s accrediting agencies. Aleshire shares a few insights about the uniqueness of Concordia Seminary among theological schools and his outlook for theological education. “I’m hopeful because I believe deeply in the goodness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ,” Aleshire says. “This Christian way of being in the world is as wonderful of a way for human beings to relate to one another and the world around them, and it is a source of human flourishing from the abundance and goodness of God. I don’t think God, like you and me, is going to retire anytime soon.” Mission Works is a weekly vlog that celebrates the significant role of Seminary supporters and highlights how donor gifts are making a difference in the Lord’s mission.
