Abstract
This thesis will examine the creation narratives in three different ways. First, an examination of other ancient Near Eastern Creation accounts will be conducted. It is important to know the cultural environment in which the Genesis creations stories were written. Sumerian, Akkadian, Egyptian, Canaanite, and other creation stories bear a remarkable similarity to the Genesis creation stories.
