8th Annual Jack Dean Kingsbury Lecture

Publication Date

Description

Traditionally, the Scriptures were seen as the Word of God that Christians should read, mark, learn and inwardly digest. Something changed in the 17th and 18th centuries, however, that turned things upside down and made this viewpoint obsolete, a move that has continued to this day. It is incumbent upon us to turn things right-side up again, and to allow the texts of the sacred Scripture to address us strongly. It starts with being humbled by these texts.
