Abstract
The question which the writer has undertaken to answer in this thesis is this: How does the Revised Standard Version of the letters of Saint Paul to the Thessalonians compare with the Authorized Version or sixteen-hundred eleven, commonly called the King James Version, as an English translation suitable for public and private use by the Lutheran Church--Missouri Synod?
