Abstract
This topic needs discussion not only because of the value of such study, but also because of the large amount of opposition to the Old Testament at the present time and the immense forces that are directing their efforts to overthrow the Old Testament. On the one hand we have those opponents who because of anti-Semitic fanaticism want to reject the Old Testament from the outset, while on the other hand we meet those who wish to oppose the Old Testament by their own conjectures and thus overthrow it. The latter, negative Bible critics, try to find in the books of the Old Testament something which isn't there, but which they place there they try to find a development of doctrine.
