Abstract
The purpose of this paper is not primarily to compare the two groups, but to give special consideration to the smaller Independence group. But this study will attempt to point up more clearly the fact that they are different, and may perhaps encourage further research in the field of the study of the founder, Joseph Smith, Jr., his work, his writings, and his various followers.
