Abstract
A double pronged impetus has prompted this investigation of Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod religious radio program types and formats. First of all, in an age where the radio listener seeks primarily to be entertained via his radio, there is need to explore every avenue by which to reach him with the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Secondly, the average parish pastor, rushed in his activities, unable to spend much time in radio research, and yet anxious to use this medium, is asking for suggestions as to possible program types and formats for use in his community.
