Abstract

The purpose or this thesis is to describe Dostoyevsky's concept of suffering to point out the factors that gave rise to his concept, to compare his concept of suffering with the Christian viewpoint, and finally to show the value of Dostoyevsky' s concept of suffering to ·the world of today.
