Abstract
The principles laid down here are similar to those held by Roger Williams. The early American Baptists were organized chiefly on the basis of the individualism of Roger Williams. In this, thesis the writer proposes the following: to point out how this principle of individualism, manifest in the life and work of Roger Williams; secondly, to prove that this individualism basic in Baptist theology and church polity today.
