Abstract
Every pastor ought to have some knowledge or psychology. It is true, a pastor is first and foremost a theologian. As a theologian he must learn rightly to interpret the Divine Word and bring its precious truth to the people under his care. In doing this, the pastor through God's grace and help is benefiting his people for time and for eternity. If in addition to being a good theologian, a pastor knows some or the most important principles of psychology, he will the better be able to apply this Word of God, especially so in the case of such who are suffering from mental ill-health.
