Abstract
The Bible has a special purpose in the world and, therefore, should be approached differently than any other book. The Psalmist shows us e proper attitude in the brief prayer: "Open Thou mine eyes, that I may hold wondrous things out of Thy law.” This prayer should be in the heart of every one of us every time we open or Bibles for reading or study. "Prayer is necessary to drive out the demon of indifference.”
