Abstract
It will be the purpose of this thesis to bring to light the outstanding characteristics of the Veĺká Partitúra through an examination of the times used; the popularity and worth of the tunes through the years, as witnessed by their inclusion in or exclusion from the various hymnbooks of the Slovak Lutheran Church, will be noted, special attention will be given to Slavic tunes, and a comparison will be made between the Veĺká Partitúra and the Duchovná Citara, noting distinctive changes and determining reasons for differences.
