Abstract

Therefore it is important that we discuss compulsory military training from the viewpoint of the church. We will consider the various plans which have been proposed to provide this compulsory military training for the youth of the nation. We will think out what the viewpoint of the church, of all believers in general, and of our own church body in particular, should be in regard to this matter. We will examine the relation between compulsory military training and the church. We will take note of the principal arguments before the public, and give attention to the arguments both for and against the various plans. Finally, we will suggest some steps the church should take in case compulsory military training is instituted in our country, also some steps our church should take while it is waiting for the matter to be decided.
