Abstract
The goal of this study is to determine Paul's use of Zech 8: 16 and Ps 4:4 (LXX Ps 4:5) in Eph 4:25-26 and the connection with the admonitions that follow. Important parallels will be examined between the context of the Zechariah quote and the commands in the Ephesians pericope in order to establish that Paul used Zech 8: 16 as the foundation of the paraenesis given in Eph 4:25-32.
