Abstract

In writing this paper, I hope to have contributed something quite new to the history of Lutheran Foreign Missions. To my knowledge, no one has written on this phase of the work before.

Although our China Mission is still young, it is high time that its history be written. While the Mission was founded only 20 years ago, the writer has experienced much difficulty in obtaining reliable information on several points.
