The third year of lectionary proper twenty, five, which is appointed to take place between three and twenty nine. We always want to keep it in its actual context. We want to have it in its historical context as well as literary context. And so just a reminder that this is following the fall of Admin. Eve. That was the big thing, Genesis Chapter three. They've been expelled from the guarded. And now things are playing out and keep in mind also there in chapter three, a couple of significant things. And what are some of the key principles? Ah! To have in mind when reading the narrative well number one. Do not allegorize the text trying to say, Well, this is four verses, one to fifteen. This is Kane and Gable are the ah chief human characters in this narrative. And so don't try to say, How am I, and how am I able, but rather the primary way to look at. Most certainly the temptation that is set before King is a universal temptation, and so some application should be widely made in that regard, but even more so it's. But i'll keep it in mind for you that that is not fixed and solid that Hebrew does have flexibility in that regard, and we're certainly going to see that quite a bit in our text. And what is the standard for pastime narrative sequence?
